Meeting
May 15, 2008

Peg Arguimbau Chairman, Hank Langstroth, Stephen Cremer, Elizabeth McGrath, and Christine Turnbull were the members present.
8:00 p.m. Peter Dangelo – The Commission to Further Discuss the Violation at 140   Maskwonicut Street:                                                                                                                    
 The Applicant was absent from the meeting. The members of the Commission agreed to discuss and make a decision regarding the
violation at 140 Maskwonicut Street at their next meeting, scheduled for June 5, 2008. The Commission requested that the Conservation
Administrator contact Mr. Dangelo to notify him of the meeting.
8:10 p.m. Old/New Business:  -Updates
Open Space & Recreation Planning Committee    
                                                                                                                                                                        
 Peg updated the Commission on the Open Space and Recreation Planning Committee. She stated that the Committee has received and
tabulated 832 responses from the Open Space Survey mailings. Peg explained to the Commission that April Forsman from the DPW has been
an integral part in formatting the information. A public hearing will be held at the Town Hall by the Open Space and Recreation Planning Committee
on June 10, 2008 at  7:30 p.m., to present the results of the completed surveys.

Massapoag Sportsmen’s Club                                                                                             
On behalf of the Commission, Peg and Hank arranged a meeting with the Club’s Land
Committee on May 20, 2008 to discuss the proposed land swap agreement.  
Peg explained to the members of the Commission that the RFP Hank prepared for surveying
services, for advertisement in the local newspaper concerning the proposed land swap, has
been postponed. The Commission’s ability to absorb the cost of the survey services is
contingent upon a Town Meeting vote to approve the transfer of funds into an expenditure
account for the Commission.

CPC Application - May 31, 2008 Deadline
Peg called for a motion for the Commission to submit an application to the CPC, for the
use of CPC funds toward the purchase of a Conservation Restriction on the remaining
property on Camp Gannett, for possible action at an upcoming Town Meeting. A portion
of the cost to be determined in the future.
Stephen Cremer moved. Elizabeth McGrath seconded. Voted. Unanimous.
Peg called for a motion for a Commission vote to have the Chairman sign the application,
representative of the Commission’s intent to apply.
Elizabeth McGrath moved. Hank Langstroth seconded. Voted. Unanimous.

8:35 p.m. Approve Past Meeting Minutes:
Peg called for a motion to approve the May 1, 2008 meeting minutes as amended.
Stephen Cremer moved. Hank Langstroth seconded. Voted. 4-0-1.
